In this organizational update, Melvin Battiest, Executive Director of Native Wings, shares several exciting developments happening within our organization. We provide an update on the progress of our Rec & Cultural Center, including how this space will serve as a place of healing, culture, creativity, and community for our Native brothers and sisters. Melvin also discusses the growth of our Feather Program, our pre-release and post-release reintegration program designed to walk alongside individuals returning home from incarceration, offering mentorship, structure, and hope.
