Trump to sign rare earth minerals deal with Ukraine’s Zelenskyy

U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be coming to Washington, D.C. on Friday to sign an agreement on rare earth minerals. “We don’t have that much (rare earth minerals) and we need a lot more," Trump said during his first cabinet meeting. He added, "The previous administration put us in a very bad position, but we've been able to make a deal where we're going to get our money back… We’re taking what we’re entitled to take.” Trump also said the deal would provide “automatic security” for Ukraine. Zelenskyy said that in the deal, “The main thing for me is we are not debtors.
