Artists, activists and organisations call on Serco Group: If you care about Black Talent, stop your racist migration contracts! We refuse to let Serco use cultural events such as the Black Talent Awards to cover up how they profit from racialised violence. Serco’s business activities enable daily violence against migrant and racialised communities. Our client Michael* knows this first hand. He wrote this poem for Serco about his experience facing deportation and being 24/7 location tracked by Serco for the Home Office. Actor Fehinti Balogun, with credits including Dune, BBC’s I May Destroy You, Netflix's The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself and who recently starred alongside Ewan Mcgregor in A Gentleman in Moscow, has added his voice to the campaign by reading the poem. *Pseudonym used at the client's request.
