UFO: "Diesel In The Dust" - Guitar Cover

I thought long and hard about uploading this one, given the sad news this week of Paul's passing this week. My original plan, back in January, was to have all 4 UFO albums, from 1979-1873 done by the end of June. With as many playing and lesson videos as I could. So I'm going to stick to that. Plus I'm just like anyone watching these videos, I'm just a huge fan too. That's the reason I do these great tunes. These cover songs all get picked up for copyright infringement (quite right too, as I didn't write them) so any revenue that was ever to be paid will go to the writers. I have another one/two cover songs to do from "Making Contact", then I'll do a lesson video for all of these and a video to end the whole series with my thoughts about what a huge influence both Paul and band were to me when I first started playing. Then I'll move onto some lessons for the Waysted albums at some point. So, this song: Great tune, great lyrics, great riffs. In all my videos I try to do a complete performance in one take. And this one is pretty tough getting all the parts running together. I did the first half of the guitar solo, then went back to rhythm and let the proper guitar player take over for the difficult bit. One thing I learned, many years ago, as a guitar player, was always play to your strengths and know when to drop back when things are a bit beyond you. There's no prizes in this game for middle aged man making a prize t*t of himself on Youtube. As ever, I make no claim that this is 100% correct - it's just my version of a fantastic tune.
