In it's early days, RC drifting was a niche that branched off of the 1:10th scale touring car (TC) community by using 4WD touring cars with plastic tires to achieve the motion of drifting. This style of RC drifting based on touring cars would continue to develop with phases like counter-steer (CS) modifications and eventually early day RWD RC drifting. Nowadays, RC drifting has moved on from the TC based cars to drift specific chassis that are RWD by design from companies like Yokomo, REVED (or REVE'd), MST, D-like, Rhino Racing, RedCat, Sakura, Usukani, OVERDOSE, Wrap-Up Next, and many more. Some of these cars come ready to run (RTR) or they have to be built as a kit. RTR cars typically come pre-built with electronics, wheels, and a painted body. Batteries may also be included, but that is not always the case. On the other hand, kits come as completely disassembled chassis and would require the electronics, wheels and tires, and body to be purchased separately. Either way, both options are viable to use as RC drift car platforms with endless possibilities to modify to your liking and driving style as you develop through practice. Hope to see you out there! about ninjonaah - this channel is made to show the joy of cars as cinematically as possible
