"You finished the video?" "Yes" "What did it cost?" "Everything" I like how... thematic video production can be. What started as, essentially, a random project that was supposed to be easy, fast to make, relaxing, and about 25 minutes long, transformed into this... behemoth that is of shoddy quality, took TOO many resources and NOBODY really wanted it in the first place... just like modern construction (then again, it always was AT LEAST bit bad). So... yeah, Constructor... what a random game, huh? You probably never even knew about its existence (especially if you're not from PAL territory - as it was only released here... so I can't ramble about how much PAL version sucks, as it's the only one). It's really intriguing, extremely challenging game, where good micro is EVERYTHING. ...and yet, they released it on the PlayStation, where you'll lack that precision or the comfort of key shortcuts. Then again... if not for this port, I would probably never realised it existed (and you wouldn't either if this is your first contact with it). 25 years ago I was CRUSHED by this game... and in the present I fared not much better, to be honest. The game is REALLY demanding and you NEED to have nerves of steel to not cave under the pressure from the CPUs (because, let's face it, the game was MADE to be competetive, with single player as a training tool, I suppose). It also has a REALLY good modern version that's available on EVERY modern platform, so you have NO excuses to NOT check it out! ...it is worth it, seriously, that remake polishes every single rough spot and makes something TRULY amazing (that will be skipped by 99,9% people, because who plays RTS's nowadays?). That was... a really intensive and rough month. Can't believe that I managed to push it out in time (as in, before a week-long vacation). Last 25 minutes were edited in the span of ONE DAY, so... please, excuse the "budgetary" lackings. I tried my best. But... in the end, does it really matters? Seriously, out of all videos THIS is one that takes the most obscure thing... and for what? I dunno, maybe I'm going insane but I just felt like I HAD to do it... don't worry, the videos about games/subjects nobody cares about, are put on hold (well... maybe not, I would want to make an "Expedition" video of some trashy, yet fun title) - next one, spoiler, will be MGS or Alundra duology (though, I'm not sure how long it will take). Again, no credits and in-video thanks, but the next one will have them, for sure. Honorable mentions: @ps1cracktrohistorianbeing one of the reasons WHY this video was made (and they are doing an INCREDIBLE job at keeping cractros alive in our memory) and I also used their footage, because I was too lazy to track the ISOs of the pirated discs (or bothering running Hit Men's software). @Vanserchanfor distracting me with his videos. @filip7133for remaining the #1 fan (keep going at it). @smokthedragon19for being smokadrjan and showing up in the video. Also, shoutout to Harry Enfield for producing a satire so good that some people started to take it to heart a bit TOO much... ...and to System 3 (obviously) THIS TIME: 0:00 - Intro - experiencing PS1 PIRACY 3:16 - HOOOO BOY 4:12 - Memories of the Mysterious Disc 5:42 - Ok, the intro KINDA ended so skip here 7:10 - Starting the game 10:21 - Tenants and houses 12:22 - WHAT WAS THAT NOISE 13:33 - That's not what Monopoly has told me 16:16 - Time to git gud 17:44 - Talkin' objectives 19:06 - LOADSAMONE (or WUJPINIONDZA) 22:00 - Gettin' stuff ya want 30:02 - First Trumpet: hitting the wall in solo play 32:14 - Saving matter 34:33 - Second Trumpet: THE CPU GOT HANDS 36:38 - The first tier of undesirables 39:54 - Tesco Value Godfather 41:17 - eF da Police 42:25 - Third Trumpet: when the Council actually sends you to WAR 42:50 - The second tier of undesirables 46:19 - The THIRD tier of undesirables 49:00 - madness. 50:03 - Beating the game in corruption 51:46 - Bro, no one cares about that 52:43 - Summary, I guess?
