The R80 in this video is 17 years old, and this is the 3rd replacement lamp that I have installed in this machine (so, it has seen 4 lamps including the original). If you keep the machine powered-on 24x7x365 like I do, the lamp will only last 3 to 5 years because the lamp stays on frequently even when the scanner is not in use. If you keep the unit powered-off most of the time, then the lamp can last 6 to 15 years. But that is not practical for many businesses or offices that use the printer function throughout the day.
