In this video, we show a live screen capture of me, Tomasz, using the VMX GUI and running the visual object detection server locally (notice the URL is "localhost/vmx/"). The entire video is 11 minutes, so feel free to jump around. Our object detection technology can be accessed as a service over the internet, or ran as a standalone object detection server (as shown in this video). In both cases (cloud or local), the VMX frontend is the same -- it was built in HTML/Javascript. We built the VMX frontend using Google's AngularJS and made extensive use of the Javascript canvas element. We have custom directives all over the place, use Twitter Bootstrap elements, and interaction between the frontend and the backend is done using services inside AngularJS. We've been hacking on the VMX GUI for quite some time, and we're pretty proud of what we built. We love building software, especially software at the interface of large-scale computing, machine learning, computer vision, and runs as an in-browser app! There are still lots of advanced knobs inside our GUI, but this is only an early version of VMX. Check out the full Kickstarter video at: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/v...
