HASTINAPUR CITY of MAHABHARATA ll Important for Hinduism, Jainism & Sikhism The name Hastinapur always made me curious since childhood as it happened to be the Capital of Karavas and Pandavas. I decided to explore this ancient city to see for myself how it looks like after more than 5000 years of its living history. After reaching Hastinapur I realised it is very important tourist places for three religios sects viz. Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism. There are many large Jain temple complex with beautiful temples, parks, playground for kids with all the modern amenities for fooding and lodging for pilgrims. Pandeshwar temple is the ancient Shiva temple believed to be where Pandavas offered puja. Although U.P tourism has a board near the (belived to be) the palace complex of Pandavas but no office was found near it. Due to paucity of time could not cover the Sikh Gurdwara in this tour. I hope you will enjoy visiting this city of Mahabharata.
