A major development has emerged in the sensational Srishti Surrogacy case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Dr. Namrata, head of Universal Srishti Fertility Center, along with her son, in connection with alleged money laundering and large-scale fraud. According to ED officials, the fertility center allegedly lured tribal and economically vulnerable women with money, illegally procured babies, and falsely projected them as surrogate births. Couples struggling with infertility were reportedly charged between ₹30–40 lakh for IVF and surrogacy services. Investigators have identified over ₹30 crore in illegal assets and frozen 8 bank accounts linked to the institution. Authorities also suspect possible child trafficking under the guise of surrogacy. Fake medical records and fabricated DNA reports were allegedly created to mislead parents. The case surfaced after a Rajasthan couple discovered through DNA testing that the child handed over to them had no biological link. Multiple FIRs were later registered across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Namrata has been remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody, and the ED’s money laundering probe is ongoing. So far, 24 people have been arrested in connection with the case. #SrushtiSurrogacyCase #DrNamrata #EDArrest #SurrogacyScam Follow us on: Facebook: / samayam.telugu X: https://X.com/samayamtelugu For More Videos, Please Subscribe to Our Official YouTube Channel Samayam Telugu Here 👇👇👇 / @samayamtelugu_toi Please visit our Website, SAMAYAM TELUGU (which is a part of the Times of India group)
