It is January and this time I head up the trail towards Mount Potash with most of my gear in a pulk sled. In the White Mountain National Forest, you are permitted to camp not so far from the trail when there is two feet or more of snow base. In this case I go pretty far from the road and then pretty far from the trail, up on a logging road heading towards the wilderness.
