Indian Rockhouse Trail is located at Buffalo Point inside the Buffalo National River boundaries. It features a few cool points of interest but the main one is a giant bluff shelter that has been used by people as early as 7,000 BCE called Indian Rockhouse. The trail is a 3.5 mile loop and has hill you have to hike up to get back to the trailhead. It's not too bad if you're in decent shape though, we saw several families with young children leaving as we were starting and they seemed to be fine. We hiked the trail on August 3rd, late summer isn't really the best for hiking in the Ozarks but there were a couple cooler days (by cooler I mean low-mid 80s) and we figured this trail would be traveled and maintained enough that we wouldn't have too many issues with overgrown, buggy sections of the trail, and in the end I don't remember facing any. So this is a great trail if you're wanting something mellow so you don't get tore up by ticks and chiggers. We would love to come back during Spring to see the creeks and streams flowing though! Thank you for watching! Don't forget to give this video a big ole thumbs up!
