After the Detroit Lions lost backup quarterback Kyle Allen to free agency—signing a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills—the Lions are bringing back veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. As first reported by NFL Network, Bridgewater is re-signing with the Lions after spending a year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As of this publishing, there are no available contract terms. The Detroit Lions are bringing back some valuable secondary depth. As first reported by Ian Rapoport, the Lions are re-signing veteran corner Rock Ya-Sin. The deal is reportedly for one year and worth $4 million. Last year, the Lions signed Ya-Sin to a veteran minimum deal ($1.17 million) contract, and the 29-year-old cornerback outplayed that deal. He would end up playing in all 17 games, and because Detroit suffered so many injuries at the cornerback position, Ya-Sin started six games. The Detroit Lions are reportedly re-signing linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez, as first reported by NFL insider Jordan Schultz. It’s a one-year deal for Rodriguez, but specific terms weren’t immediately available.
