It is famous for the world's second tallest Shiva statue, the town lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea and is also famous for the Murdeshwara Temple. The idol of Lord Shiva outside the Murdeshwar temple is the second tallest Shiva idol in the world and its height is 123 feet. Train Journey : There is a railway station itself in Murdeshwar, however there some train stops so it is good to go Bhatakal railway station. From there you can pick an auto which charge 100 Rs up to Bhatakal Bus stand. From there take bus which goes on the route of Murdeshwar Temple which will charge 10 to 15 Rs. After reaching Murdeshwar town main entrance gate take auto from there to Murdeshwar temple which charge 30 Rs. Bus Journey : If you are coming from Bangalore then take a bus which goes to Mumbai and passing the Murdeshwar town. And get dropped at Murdeshwar town entrance gate and take auto from there to Murdeshwar temple which charge 30 Rs.
