I went to East Los Angeles to check out El Pino the filming location for a lot of the scenes in the Chicano cultural movie Blood In Blood Out. It's located on a hill on Folsom street with beautiful views of the city. There is a staircase that leads from Folsom Street across the alley down to floral. This place is very nice and a must see for any Blood In Blood out fans or Chicano/ Chicana. East Los Angeles is very well known for its Chicano culture and history. There are a lot of Chicano art murals on the streets and everywhere. There are also a lot of Chicano style Mexican-American restaurants and stores. I highly recommend checking out East Los if you are ever in the Los Angeles area.
