Polyend Tracker Review after 12 months - Is it a good portable standalone music workstation?

The last 12 months, the Polyend Tracker has been stuck to my side. I wanted to follow up from my first interaction video, as the way I use the tracker has changed. Coming from Chiptunes, I only used samples for one shots and drums, however the tracker showed me the power of sampling with the granular and wavetable synths. Soon I was making full songs from a handful of samples and mangling them to make new sounds that I never heard before. The sound design capabilities of this machine is not to be underestimated. I really enjoyed how this is an all in one machine and could be considered hardware DAW. By itself, I have made, mixed and mastered a whole bunch of different tracks. pulling in samples is streamlined from getting sample packs off the internet to recording them on the groovebox itself. The user experience between the hardware and software is intuitive and well thought out. Also has real nice contextual information to help you on your way. Compared to other portable synthesizers/workstations like the Dirtywave M8, Teenage Engineering OP1 or Novation Circuit. The Polyend's form factor is on the larger sized footprint, however its not a burden. Its quite easy to take it around and makes something in a few minutes. But the larger footprint mean we get so much more direct control. A 4 octave button grid and dial that is context sensitive to the screen you are working on. Nice and tactile mechanical keys paired 7inch screen, it definitely sitting up there with the best. Polyend's take on the tracker workflow is designed to be accessible by anyone, but its not limited. the updates have taken it from a simple device to a fully versatile machine. It takes a lot of inspiration from the old amiga protracker or octamed, however the Polyend Tracker has its own spin on the tracker workflow.
