Song -Root by the Deftones off of the album Adrenaline. The Deftones are one of my favorite bands. Abe is an amazing drummer who never gets enough credit for what he does. This song is so much fun to play, especially near the end when you can go a little nuts. I will never play it as smooth as Abe but that's not really the point anyway. I tried to make it my own like I do with pretty much any song I cover. Yes I hosed the first fill (ooops) and got a bit off track, oh well here it is anyway. Background I have been playing the drums off and on for about 8 years. I am self-taught and don't take myself too serious. When I play a cover tune I play it the way I want to play it however, I do try to stay true to the musician's original scheme. I also play in a local alternative/progressive rock band with friends.
