These gluten free butter biscuits are a favourite here at my house. They pair nicely with so many dishes, or are just a great snack on their own! Try them for yourself, and let me know what you think! Ingredients: 2.5 cups of 1:1 gluten free all purpose baking flour 4 tsp baking powder 2 tsp salt 2 tbsp sugar 4 tbsp shortening (butter flavoured if you can) 1.75 cups whole milk 8 tbsp unsalted butter Directions: Preheat the oven to 450F In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly Add in milk JUST until a wet dough forms (Not too much here, you may not need it all) In a separate bowl, melt 7 tablespoons of butter (all but 1), and pour into the bottom of an 8x8 glass baking dish Spoon the biscuit dough on top of the butter, and spread it out (careful not to splash the melted butter) Take a knife or your spatula, and pre-cut the dough into serving-sized squares.
