In this unsponsored video, I will be checking out and reviewing the GHS Pressurewounds, for short scale bass. Gauges 96-40 (set 7700). Featuring a flattened outer winding over a hex core. Are these strings more like flatwounds or roundwounds? Let's find out! We will be comparing these to the GHS Boomers (nickel roundwound) featured in Episode 5. The biggest difference in this episode, is that the Pressurewounds are 7 days old, allowing it a little time to settle in and break in. The Boomers were fresh out of the package. The bass was recorded direct through a Line6 Pod Go with my usual GK800RB model settings. Level matched, but no EQ or compression was added in post. 00:00 Intro 00:25 Background 01:03 Comparison setup & differences 02:31 Track 06:18 Packaging & string wound length 07:44 Feel & playability 09:30 Sound 13:09 Overall https://jonathanwong.bandcamp.com
