Dholpur Floods: Army Called In As Swelling Chambal River Wreaks Havoc in Rajasthan | India Today

Dholpur district in Rajasthan is experiencing massive floods as the Chambal river swells, breaching the danger mark. The Indian Army and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed for rescue and relief operations, with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) also present in some areas. Numerous villages, including in the Raja Kheda area, are cut off from the mainland. According to an India Today ground report, "the highway that connects nearly five to six such villages have been totally submerged." Rescue efforts are focused on evacuating residents, particularly children and women.
