Exploring Sovereign Hill & Gold Panning at Nine Mile Creek | Victoria

Lee Roy and I travelled to Ballarat’s Sovereign Hill to explore the historic open-air museum and its buildings and displays. Our main goal was to learn how to gold pan properly and gain as much hands-on experience as possible. We wanted to understand the techniques, the process, and what to look for before taking those skills out into the field. Everything we learned here was with the intention of applying it later at Nine Mile Creek, where we’d have a real crack at gold panning in a natural setting. This trip was all about learning, history, and building practical skills before putting them to the test.
