Jet2 Inaugural flight from Luton Airport | Trip Report | Airbus A321 Neo | Luton to Palma

Join me as I hop onboard Jet2’s first flight from Luton Airport, heading down to Palma De Mallorca. Luton is Jet2’s 13th UK base and will be flying to various destinations throughout the summer… To mark the occasion there was a fair bit of celebrations going on, including a buffet accompanied by some authentic Spanish music, as well as various speeches by those higher up, including Luton Airport CEO Alberto Martin, and Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy. Each passenger received a goodie bag upon boarding, and various prizes were there to be won, including free flights and free holidays. The flight itself was smooth and fast, taking only 1hr 51 minutes thanks to a good tailwind. The Neo is also a very quiet aircraft making for a good passenger experience.
