Dr. Horton discusses experiences of individuals involved in the rescue and recovery efforts following 9/11. Dr. Horton and her team are working to understand how risk and protective factors are associated with disease development. Their goal is to identify vulnerable responders and determine which factors might protect against the development or progression of disease with potentially broader implications for future disaster response and recovery efforts.
