Can I get home? Breaking Down in a Peugeot RCZ - in France... Timing chain nightmare…

Well... that did not take long... So 3000miles and half a road trip to the Pyrenees later, the Peugeot breaks down in its home country - well not quite as it was built in Austria. It then messed up 5 days of my holiday as that is how long it took to find parts, tools, organise things and repair the car. Do I still like it? Do I forgive it? I reveal that at the end of the video. So it was the timing chain guide that shattered into pieces. This then went round the engine and messed up the oil pump. Therefore £500 worth of parts were required to fix it all. This is a common issue on these cars and i think the safest course of action is to have a major sort out at 75,000 miles with change of timing chain, valve stem seals and maybe that vacuum pump too. The engine is a good engine in many respects, it makes a lot of power, but BMW/Peugeot really should have spent a bit more time fixing the issues when they became apparent.
