My Holiday to Orlando (3rd Jan - 24th Jan 2026)

So, in all honesty, I didn’t really enjoy this holiday as much as I thought I would. All of the best rides were closed or refurbished (RIP Rock n’ Rollercoaster), even though I had a system that made my guest card essential to let anyone access any ride, this meant I was dragged into the boring, slower-paced rides for my 3-year-old niece, my parents kept insisting on riding the same two rides in each park over and over and over again, which made the new Tron ride lose some of it’s thrills, and not even a week into the trip, I fell very ill. For the majority of my time there I had to take medications for constant spine-pain, headaches, hard coughing, phlegm-buildup in my throat, and also sunburnt feet after a day at a beach. Not to mention a holiday this long and interactive with the family makes it an autistic, anti-social introvert’s worst nightmare. But it wasn’t all torture, of course. A few of the rides were still really good, I tried Tower of Terror for the first time, I managed to ride the ONLY rollercoaster in Disney World with a loop before it got changed into a Muppet ride, I bought myself a Ravenclaw cloak (which I think is too big for me), all the back-agonising waiting around for parades and firework displays were worth it, and I really enjoyed the new Epic Universe, especially Stardust Chasers, the Frankenstein ride and the Donkey Kong coaster. But, with that said, I honestly don’t want to visit the Florida parks again for another 10 years, at least. I want to have some enjoyment from these rides from having not ridden them for so long, plus I’d imagine there’d be more new rides to try for the first time, like the Muppet ride or the upcoming Fast n’ Furious coaster.
