New Era Detroit Finds 13YR Old Girl Lost Walking Down Dark Street On Detroits WestSide And Helps Her

We encounter a lot of situations while out doing our daily patrols. This is one situation that we are extremely grateful that we were the ones who found her at the right time! This wasn’t a situation where there was negligence on behalf of anyone in regards to the family. Just a lack of communication due to a dead phone and the family just moved into a new house so she wasn’t too familiar with her new address. Unfortunately this was in the area where someone broke into a house and put a knife to a 9 year old and not too far from where a woman was just beaten and raped at a bus stop. This is why it’s so important that we have people from the community moving around during key hours of the day. We also need to address the amount of open abandoned buildings and houses that we encounter on a daily moving around the city! More needs to be done to keep our communities safe as well as the people in them. Especially women children, & elders!
