As part of the 2023 Octbooberfest Tassel Twirling Championship at the Stockholm Burlesque Festival, the burlesque performer and life coach, Evelina Roos, performer name Lily DeLuxe, recounts here recent experience of contracting, being treated for and coping with breast cancer. Octbooberfest is the yearly Tassel Twirling Championship: a lighthearted competition to raise awareness for women's health within the framework of the Stockholm Burlesque Festival. This initiative is part of a month long campaign to raise money for Cancerfonden.
