INGREDIENTS (for a 20cm cake mold) 2 eggs 120g (½ cup) sugar 100ml (1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) vegetable oil 60ml (¼ cup) milk 100g dark chocolate (melted) 150g (1 ¼ cups) all-purpose flour 2 tbsp cocoa powder 2 tsp baking powder 2 pears Chocolate chips, as needed METHOD 1. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with an electric mixer until the mixture is tall and whitish. 2. Add the vegetable oil, milk, and previously melted and cooled dark chocolate. 3. Mix again with the mixer until fully combined. 4. Add the flour, sifted cocoa powder, and baking powder, and mix again until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. 5. Pour the batter into the cake tin. 6. Slice the pears using a cutting board and knife, and arrange them in a radial pattern on top of the batter. 7.
