When people preach that there is just one way, they are often trying to sell you something. Different methods work for different people, the key is finding a way that will work for you in the long term. 2. Losing a large amount of weight quickly may seem like a win but it's actually a loss. When you severely restrict your calories, you lose weight quickly but your body becomes malnourished. This puts your body at a higher risk of developing diseases since you don’t have the nutrition to protect yourself. 3. Don’t take things to the extreme. More is not always the answer. A little protein is good, but don’t go overboard and eat a ton of protein. Walking 10,000 steps a day is good, but don’t go overboard and do 30,000 steps.
