What’s happening in this Insidious - The Last Key movie clip? Key Face makes Elise (Lin Shaye from Wes Craven's New Nightmare and Dumb and Dumber) remember when her father Gerald was beating her. He coerces Elise into hurting her father's spirit as revenge for what he's done. But she is stopped by Imogen (Caitlin Gerard from American Crime) and refuses to feed Key Face any more hatred. Key Face attacks Elise, but Gerald saves her before he is stabbed by Key Face, his spirit vanishing. Key Face stabs Melissa (Spencer Locke from Cougar Town), causing her physical body into shock. He attempts to possess Elise but Imogen throws her Christian's whistle. Elise blows in it and Audrey's (Elise’s mom) spirit arrives, vanquishing Key Face. One day, she opens a mysterious doorway in the basement and is briefly possessed by a demonic spirit. When her mom comes, she is killed by the demon. After this occurrence, Elise fled the house. Later in 2010, Elise (Lin Shaye from Wes Craven's New Nightmare and Dumb and Dumber) works as a paranormal investigator with her colleagues Specs (Leigh Whannel from Saw) and Tucker (Angus Sampson from The Mule). One day, a man calls for help because of paranormal activity at his house, which happens to be Elise's childhood home. Elise, Tucker, and Specs meet Melissa (Spencer Locke from Cougar Town) and Imogen (Caitlin Gerard from American Crime), Christian's (Bruce Davison from Longtime Companion) daughters. Christian is still furious at Elise for abandoning him. Sometime later, Christian and his daughters go inside to find the whistle but Melissa is attacked by the demon known as Key Face, sending her consciousness into the spirit realm of The Further. Trying to save Melissa, Elise discovers that her father kidnapped women and held them in the secret room. She is ambushed by Key Face and her spirit is taken into the Further. Imogen enters The Further, where Key Face is holding all of the souls he has taken, including Melissa and Elise. Elise realizes Key Face had been controlling her father, and feeds on the fear and hatred generated by the women kidnapped. Elise's father saves her daughter before being stabbed by Key Face and his spirit vanishes. Key Face attempts to possess Elise but she blows Christian's whistle, and her mom's spirit arrives, vanquishing Key Face. Elise makes amends with her mother's spirit and says goodbye.
