Most horse owners need to or want to Tie their horse up sometime. Maybe they want to tie the horse to a rail for grooming, saddling or they want to tie to a trailer at a show or maybe at a trail ride they want to tie to a tree to have a cuppa. Whatever the reason, no horse "wants" to be tied, because it means they are stuck and cannot run away. However, horses can be taught to remain calm when tied. Sadly though, many people don't know how (or they "assume" the horse is ok and they tie the horse and the horse "pulls back" and feels the halter as the rope goes tight and then the Panic hits and they fight for freedom.
