Start to understand the complex world of affordable housing, specifically focusing on the acronyms related to funding, service delivery, and reporting. Break down the "alphabet soup," "funding puzzle," and "service delivery puzzle," and then see how they connect to common reporting metrics. Goals of this session are to learn the basics of the “sticks and bricks” side. Who funds this work, what words, acronyms are commonly used here. Then move into the service delivery side. By seeing the ‘big housing picture’ in this way, the outcome will be a base knowledge that will allow you to understand where you reside in this housing cycle, how other housing policies impact this cycle, and where you can apply your expertise and experience.
