I'm with Phil again, and this time, we're in Herefordshire. We're exploring a 17 mile stretch of the former Hereford, Ross and Gloucester Railway, between Hereford, and Ross on Wye, to see what remains we can find. We found plenty. We start on the outskirts of Hereford at the former site of ROF Rotherwas, where we explore a former WW2 munitions factory. From there we follow the trackbed south to Holme Lacy station, before climbing into Ballingham Tunnel, and taking a look at Ballingham station. We then follow the line as it weaves along the River Wye, finding multiple viaduct remains, before hitting Ross on Wye, where we find the goods shed, and even gain access to film inside the former engine shed, now a garden centre.
