Links below Local guitarist Sam Parker visited the Lollar Pickups shop a while back and sat in the studio to play some tracks on the Super-Caster Strat pickups. Sam's dynamic touch, soulful and funky playing, and layered arrangements really shine thanks to the Super-Caster's response and tone. Sam is playing a Jason Lollar-built S-style guitar equipped with Lollar Super-Caster pickups through a Benson Monarch amp. The Super-Caster's extended low frequencies provided a punchy thump that anchored the track. Using his looper pedal to layer parts, the piece really came to life, remaining articulate and clean. The increased harmonic content gave his riffs a sparkle and chime that exceeds most Strat pickups, making sure his playing sounded glassy and clear without sounding harsh.
