A LETTER TO THE CEBU ORTHOPAEDIC INSTITUTE Ashley Montagu, an English scientist, once said “one goes through school, college, medical school and one’s internship learning or nothing about goodness but a good deal about success.” It has always been a great opportunity and honor to have our 80-hour work immersion at Cebu Orthopaedic Institute. We thank you for accepting and welcoming us in your humble institution with warmth and love. Your institution has become our second school and our supervisors as our second teachers as well. Our work immersion experience at COI had become a great blessing to our lives and in our career path as medical practitioners in the future. During our stay, we have seen the reality of the medical world, and we also have learned that saving and serving human lives is more than just a salary and a dream. Indeed, the best source of knowledge is experience and we are very proud and happy to say that you have been the instrument used as a channel. Thank you for the knowledge you have imparted to us, the memories we have cherished, the friendships we have built, and the food we have shared. Each day, you have taught us that despite of a long day and a hectic schedule we still have no reason not to smile, you also have proved to us that a day without laughter is a day wasted.
