One of the earliest model in Philips commander series 3 band portables. Brand new old stock. This particular model was in production from 1974 through start of 1980's. One of the most acclaimed solid state all transistor set introduced by Philips India. Tropicalized version. Technically, this one make use of doubly tuned 1st IF stage of 452Kc and is very sensitive. It has a very unique audio quality. Audio output is transformer-less class AB stage using matched pair of BEL AC187/188. Other transistors used: BF194B, BF195D(lockfit case) AF117, BC148A, BC158B(lockfit). I received this one from a old family in Hyderabad during the year 2015. As per them, it was a wedding gift to the grandma almost 40yrs back and she locked it in the wardrobe for these many years unused! Philips introduced many variations later in the commander model.
