That’s great for kale, not your taters. ❌ No refrigerators, like everIt’s too cold in there! The starches in potatoes turn into reducing sugars at low temps, which can mess with their flavor, texture and creates Acrylamide = potential carcinogen. Potatoes like to chill—but not freeze—somewhere between 43°F to 50°F. ❌ Don’t let them hang with onions, garlic, shallots, or other fruits and veggies that emit ethylene gas. (I’m talking to Apples🍎)Ethylene = the frenemy of freshness. ❌ And definitely don’t keep them next to your oven.Too hot = fast aging.
