Focus is a great movie directed by Isaka Satoshi. It's not very famous but very innovative. It was released in 1996, when mockumentaries were not mockumentaries, before The Blair Witch Project, before the movies of Shiraishi Kôji and of course before Nightcrawler (a lot of similarities between the 2 films). Great camera work, good photography, sometimes really funny (dark humor) and disturbing at the same time. And of course, Asano is fantastic. Focus is about a small television crew that follows a strange man passionate about CB radio (Citizens band radio). Little by little, they will be interested in more and more disturbing cases in real time, and will go further and further, driving their car mostly by night from one case to another.
