I finally finished the Polychromatic Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman, made especially for my daughter as a Christmas gift—and yes, it came down to the wire. This quilt means so much to me, and I’m excited to share it now that it’s complete. I also wrapped up two quilts that had been quietly guilting me from the corner of the room: The Sampler Quilt from A Quilting Life and My Race Quilt (at least I think that's what this style of quilt is called) Both received straight-line quilting and binding, and it feels so good to finally call them finished. Not everything is smooth sailing though—my Flying Geese quilt is almost done (only two rows left), but I’ve hit a problem… I don’t like it, and I talk honestly about where I’m at with that project. To top it all off, I’m sharing some exciting news: I’ll be attending QuiltCon in February 2026, and I can’t wait to take you along for that journey. 🪡 In this video: Quilting under a Christmas deadline Finishing long-overdue quilts Straight-line quilting + binding Creative doubts and quilt design struggles QuiltCon 2026 plans If you enjoy real, honest quilting updates—wins, struggles, and everything in between—make sure to like, subscribe, and stick around.
