Dean Evans is an award-winning performer, director, and master of physical theatre known for his bold, genre-defying work. Named one of *New City Magazine’s top 50 “players,” Dean has performed internationally as a solo artist and with companies like Cirque du Soleil, The Second City, iO, and The Goodman Theatre. A long-time ensemble member of the Neo-Futurists, Dean helped create groundbreaking original work and made their Off-Broadway directorial debut in 2019 with Mil Grus. They are the Artistic Director of The Nonsemble in Los Angeles and creator of the whimsical alter ego Honeybuns, who has performed in NYC, Moscow, Ireland, and beyond. Dean has devised over a dozen full-length productions, three circuses, and countless comedic characters. Their work has been seen on NBC, Минута Славы (Russia), The Onion Network, and in award-winning digital films. They also host The Month Long Ham Festival at the Elysian Theater. A celebrated teacher, Dean has taught at Columbia College, Second City, The Celebration Barn, and many other institutions.
