This final video of a 3 part series highlights the technical aspect of right lobe treatment with a relaxing 11 o'clock incisions down to the capsular fibres to allow for complete adenoma treatment. Creation of the 7 o'clock and 11 o'clock grooves clearly help establish boundaries for tissue vaporization and lead to a more durable result. We also show the case completion with a 2-way 20F catheter. In the majority of cases, where the prostate size is less than 80g and the OR time is under 1 hour (where we use a shorter acting spinal anaesthetic), we will remove the foley catheter the same day as the surgery and the patient discharged home that evening. Followup is usually at 1 month for assessment of recovery and irritative symptoms. 3,6 and 12 month assessments we perform uroflow studies and residual volumes. at 12months and then yearly, we perform PSA blood studies and uroflow/bladderscans and IPSS score.
