Dejan Lazić plays Johannes Brahms' "Intermezzo" in A major from "Piano Pieces" ("Klavierstücke"), Op. 118, at the Amare Concert Hall in The Hague, Netherlands. Filmed live in concert on 28 March 2025, Dejan performed this masterpiece of the piano solo repertory after playing there Camille Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No. 5 in F major, Op. 103 ("The Egyptian") together with the ‪@ResidentieOrkestDenHaag‬ conducted by Jun Märkl. This video recording is now also available on this channel! Brahms' Six Pieces for Piano, Op. 118, were completed in 1893 and published with a dedication to Clara Schumann. The set was the penultimate of Brahms' published works, it was also his penultimate work for piano solo.
