I created the beach environment to look like Hunting Island in Beaufort, SC. One of my favorite places to go. I was inspired by the concept of "the backrooms" originally created by Kane Pixels and beautifully recreated for Blender by Huuxloc on Sketchfab. I also took inspiration from the "liminal spaces" concept that plays to the nostalgia of people born in the late 80s and 90s.
