If so, what does it look like? Rape Culture is when a society has a problem with Rape being pervasive and Normalized. Many would argue that we don't have this in Western Society, but I believe we do. I think the biggest problem about the type of Raoe Culture we have here, is that we don't recognize rape and abuse for what they are. How can we help fight this? Stop victim blaming, and speak up when you see it occur, Rape will only continue to grow if victims, instead of perpetrators are the ones held accountable for rape, assault and abuse. Learn more about sexual assault and sexual violence. If you are able to recognize it, even when it is disguised or not named, you will be a part of the solution by being educated. Do no support movies, music, books, television, pornography, or any other type of media that supports and normalizes sexual objectification or sexual violence. You can make a difference, by not allowing this type of "entertainment" to desensitize you and your family.
