This is Mrs. Jamie's 1966 Coronet station wagon. It has been in the DDG universe for well over a decade now, and back in our care for about three years. Under the hood is a motorhome 440, which is joined by a set of disk brakes and some choice suspension components to create a remarkably simple, yet impressive classic cruiser. The front right corner of the car has been smashed for many, many years, after an incident that predates my history with it. It looked that way when I first saw it around 2012. And for years now, I have been gradually working toward straightening that out. A fender was painted to match the car almost ten years ago (despite what I said in this video - my sense of time passing is clearly not reliable.) And last year, I finally procured a spare '66 grille. The last piece of the puzzle I have been hunting for is a straight front bumper, which is a big ask. But on today's episode, Allan and I take matters into our own hands, get resourceful with a bumper repair, and finally dig in on this long-awaited front end rebuild.
