FIRST VISIT- Icelandair B737-8 MAX Up Close Departures at Manchester Airport

On Sunday 10th June Icelandair sent TF-ICE, a Boeing 737 Max 8 to Manchester. This was the first visit of this aircraft type to the airport. Icelandair has scheduled the aircraft to operate a number of its flight to Manchester throughout June and July replacing the 757-200. The 4 month old aircraft operated flight FI440 which arrived shortly before midday. After a quick turn around the Max named Jökulsárlón, pushed back around 13:10 BST where it taxied to runway 23L and performed a rolling takeoff as it departed for Reykjavik. The aircraft was delivered to Icelandair on 4th March 2018 and was their first 737 Max aircraft. The airline currently has 3 Max 8 aircraft in service with 13 more on order.
