How to Crochet a Chevron Blanket in any size. Easy Level. Written Pattern below. Closed Captions available in video tutorial. Design by Paula Daniele from Crochet Hooks You. By 'soft' I mean that the chevrons are soft, not sharp like you see in other patterns. They are much like a ripple. For a smaller or larger Soft Crochet Chevron Blanket use a multiple of 12 + 3 to create your foundation chain. For example: To make my blanket I am using 6 multiples of 12 + 3 (the extra 3 is for the turning chain.) 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 3 = 75 chain stitches to start my blanket. 12 stitches will create one chevron (the 'V' shape) as you start working stitches into the foundation chain. The size of the blanket I have made was a small one for demonstration purposes.
