A couple of burnouts and a dyno run in our old Supra! HERE'S ONE FROM THE ARCHIVES! We whipped together an old video of our MA70 Supra from 10 years or so ago, using the highest res footage we had available from the time (this is from Circa 2004 so please forgive the potato camera quality). Anyway, back then, anything over 500hp at the wheels was considered to be something special, not so much these days! Also hearing of 7MGTE's without blown head gaskets, well that was also almost unheard of ;) This particular car was imported for Mark by Geoff at Prestige Motorsport, it had a 4sp automatic when we got it. Fresh off the boat, we strapped it to the rollers and she laid down a healthy 507hp at the treads.. Not too shabby at all! The burnouts were performed on Semi Slick race tyres, so it took a bit to get them going.. Some time later we converted the car to manual using an R154 gearbox from our Toyota Soarer project car (it was actually an Aerocabin with a Supra nose grafted on, crazy thing!). At this point we did some other mods, changed the turbo, upgraded to a Microtech LTX12 ECU and a new fuel system. Surprisingly it made more power back when it was fresh off the boat from Japan, with the turbo setup and HKS piggy back ECU and Additional Injector Controller that was all the rage in the 90s.. Impressive for such old tech! Anyway, hope you enjoyed this old archive revival :) Can was running a HKS T04R. At the very end of the video are a couple of pics from when we got pulled over for (allegedly) speed while driving the car from Brisbane to Melbourne. Ahh, I miss the old days :) Hopefully the music isnt too much of a distraction, we felt it needed something there, but ensured it was quiet so you could hear the engine :) It was some royalty free music by TeknoAxe. Thanks for the free music :P
