Madde Tabê There are two causes for certain types of Madd (Causes of Madd) : a) Hamzah : Hamza is the letter Alef with a harakah. Its articulation point is the top of the throat. b) Sukûn : Sukûn means having no harakah. If any letter has no harakah, it is called harf e sâken.
