Lackawanna Heritage Unit 1074 leads 15T with Toot Toot as the engineer, 11/29/2025.

On a cold late November morning I woke up a 4:30AM. I heard Lackawanna 1074 was leading the next 15T so I had planned to get up early since 15T has been an early train as of late. By at least 5am, 15T was in Bristol and left at 6:29AM. I went to MP 54.2 to catch it and then chase it to Midway. It was cold enough I sat in my truck until the train got close. When 15T was 2 crossings away I could hear the horn. I thought I heard the famous 'Toot Toot'. When the train came into view at the crossing down the road I heard that Toot Toot again and I knew who it was. This is the second time I have seen Toot Toot on a heritage unit, it does not matter if a railfan is there or not, this engineer always does 2 short blasts of the horn for every crossing. This marks the 3rd time I have seen Lackawanna 1074, just like Pennsylvania 8102, every time I have seen this engine it has been the leader. #norfolksouthern #train #railfan
